        The next European High Pressure Research Group (EHPRG) meeting 
will be held in Valencia, Spain, from 7th until 12th September 2008.

        During this conference, a microsymposium will be devoted to

Advances in X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy under high pressure

Scope.- The focus of this MS will be on new X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy 
techniques and diamond anvil cell design that are breaking previous 
limitations of the technique ( XAS and XMCD studies under pressure in light 
elements, microfocus XAS studies in DAC, etc).

        I strongly encourage you to submit contributions to this conference,
